VBS

Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Powell is scheduled for June 16-18 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM! Register your children, ages kindergarten to fifth grade, below. If you are interested in volunteering, you may also click below.

Membership Matters

Membership Matters is a unique class offered for anyone who wants to join or is prayerfully considering becoming a member at First Baptist Powell. You are not making a commitment to join just by attending the class. The next class will be held on Sundays from March 21-April 18.

 

CBM Go Teams

First Baptist Powell is sending three “Go Teams” to serve Children’s Bible Ministries at Camp Tuckaleechee (March 28-April 2; May 2-May 7) and Camp Ozone (April 19-23) this Spring. If you are interested in being on one of these teams, please contact Don Rhodes at dlrhodes@att.net or call 865-806-9320.

Wednesdays

Our Wednesday Night activities include AWANA Club for kids, Student Ministry for youth, and Choir Practice or Prayer Meeting for adults.

mill city missions

Be part of a history-making mission opportunity! We have the privilege of joining Mill City Baptist Church to help rebuild and reestablish their gospel witness in Oregon after the devastation of fires in 2020.The dates for the trips have changed but the opportunity for great Christian fellowship has not. Even if you can’t physically be part of a team, click below to find out how you can still be involved.

Counseling

At First Baptist Powell, we offer various types of support group ministries including DivorceCare, Single & Parenting, and GriefShare. Everyone in our community is welcome to join, whether you’re a member of our church or not. Please click below to register.

Palm Sunday

Please join us on Sunday, March 28 as we begin our Holy Week celebration! We will have two morning worship services at 8:45 and 11:15 AM. We will also have an evening worship service at 6:30 PM.

Good Friday

Please join us for a special Good Friday service on April 2 at 6:30 PM.

Easter

The culmination of Holy Week is Easter Sunday, when we will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We will have two worship services for you to choose from at 8:45 and 11:15 AM.

Paper Products Collection

Women on Mission is leading a church-wide paper products collection drive for Children’s Bible Ministries and Camp Ba-Yo-Ca. You can help by bringing paper towels, toilet paper, sturdy paper plates and bowls, hot and cold cups, and plasticware. Please place any of these items in the blue barrels located inside First Baptist Powell.
