Hunter Long

Student Pastor

I grew up in Powell, TN and attended Powell United Methodist Church for most of my life. I graduated from Powell High School in 2015, which is also the same year that I accepted a call into full-time ministry. I am engaged to the love of my life, Leah Hickman, and we’ll be getting married in June of 2019. I currently attend Johnson University where I am studying Preaching and Youth Ministry. I will graduate from JU in the spring of 2019. After I finish my bachelor’s degree, I would love to work in a student ministry where I can help students recognize the power of the gospel in their own lives so that they may grow to become the children of God that he has called them to be. Following that, I hope to pursue of Master’s of Divinity so that I can lead a church as a senior pastor. Concluding my life and ministry, I desire to pursue a Doctorate in Ministry so that I can teach in higher-education; teaching New Testament or Preaching to students who desire to fulfill their call to ministry.
