A Vinegrowers Workshop

We are hosting a workshop on Tuesday, April 25th from 9am-4pm based on the book The Trellis and the Vine. This workshop is designed to assist church leadership teams in fulfilling the call to make disciples and is open to anyone within our church and local community. Tony Payne of Matthias Media and co-author of the book will be leading this one day workshop. The cost is $65.00 per participant, which includes lunch and materials. Learn more and sign up below.

Vacation Bible School

Save the date for this year’s Vacation Bible School, June 5th-9th, as we teach preschool-5th grade children to be Keepers of the Kingdom, standing strong in the truth of God’s Word. Children’s registration opens April 2nd, and volunteer registration is open now! Learn more below.

Holy Week

Holy Week is the most sacred week in the liturgical year. It begins with the commemoration of Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and concludes with Christ’s rest in death on Holy Saturday. Holy Week leads up to Easter Sunday, when we honor Jesus’ resurrection. Join us during Holy Week, April 2nd-8th, as we reflect on the incredible work of Jesus Christ, our Savior!

We are a gospel-centered community who loves God and others.

Have you ever been in a situation where God taught you a valuable lesson in an unconventional way? I find myself in these situations often, and it always makes me praise the Lord that I serve a God who is greater than the box I often try to fit Him in. God is able to...

By Whose Authority?

Acts 4:1-22

From Series: "Acts of the Apostles"

Join us as we travel together through the book of Acts

At First Baptist Powell, we believe the best way to preach the Bible is expositionally, believing that every Word in the Bible is inspired and God-breathed, and therefore must be dealt with accordingly. We believe in the authority of the Word, and we proclaim it without hesitation. When you leave the service, you can know you have heard the Word of God preached, and then you are able to apply Biblical truths to your life which will bring you into closer fellowship with Jesus Christ and believers. You will hear the Gospel proclaimed boldly and without reservation.

First Baptist Academy

First Baptist Academy exists to assist parents by providing an excellent classical education that fosters a Biblical worldview, striving to equip students to impact the world for Christ.
